Consumer health data privacy policy

Your health data.

Some of what you log in Calobi is consumer health data under state law. This policy explains what that covers and the rights you have.

What this policy covers

This policy supplements our privacy policy and applies to “consumer health data” as defined by Washington’s My Health My Data Act, Nevada’s consumer health data law and similar laws. It applies to residents of those states and to anyone whose consumer health data Globeriz processes in those states. If this policy and the privacy policy conflict for consumer health data, this policy controls.

Consumer health data we collect

  • Body measurements you enter, such as weight, height, sex and date of birth.
  • Food, drink and water logs, meal photos, portions and nutrition estimates.
  • Goals, target weight and pace, calorie and nutrient targets, activity level and routines such as meal times and bedtime.
  • Dietary preferences or restrictions and any health context you choose to tell Obi, and memories saved from those conversations.
  • Insights, summaries and estimates we derive from the above, including with AI.

We collect this data directly from you when you use the app. We do not collect precise location, and we do not use geofencing.

Why we collect and use it

We use consumer health data to provide the service you ask for: to keep your journal, estimate nutrition, calculate and adjust your targets, power Obi’s responses, reminders and insights, secure your account, provide support and comply with law.

By completing onboarding and using these features, you consent to this collection and use. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the relevant entries or your account; without this data, the core features of Calobi cannot work.

Who we share it with

We share consumer health data only with service providers that process it on our behalf and under our instructions to deliver the service: Supabase (account and database), Cloudflare (photo storage), Vercel (hosting and AI routing) and the AI providers OpenAI, Google, Anthropic and Perplexity (food recognition, nutrition estimates and Obi’s responses). Apple delivers notifications you enable. Our analytics, subscription and email providers (PostHog, RevenueCat and Zoho) are not sent your consumer health data.

We may also disclose it when required by law or valid legal process, or to protect against fraud, security threats or harm. We will ask for your separate consent before sharing consumer health data for any other purpose.

We do not sell consumer health data. We do not use it for advertising or to choose who receives marketing.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and access it;
  • receive a list of the third parties and affiliates with which we have shared it, and how to contact them;
  • withdraw your consent to its collection and sharing;
  • have it deleted, which you can do yourself by deleting your account; and
  • appeal our decision on any request.

To make a request, email contact@globeriz.com from your account email. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days, which may be extended by another 45 days where reasonably necessary. To appeal a decision, reply with “Appeal” in the subject within 30 days of our response; we will respond within 45 days. If your appeal is denied, Washington residents may contact the Washington Attorney General, and Nevada residents the Nevada Attorney General.
